Echolume Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Echolume is a free game supported by advertising. It has no accounts, no telemetry of its own, and no analytics. This page explains the one exception: the ads.

The Short Version

Echolume itself does not collect anything about you. Your progress and settings live on your device and never leave it. The game does show ads, and the Google AdMob software that serves them does collect data, described below. You can turn ads off permanently with a one-time purchase.

Advertising

Ads are served by Google AdMob. A single full-screen ad may appear after you complete a depth, on a cadence of roughly every second or third completion. Ads never appear after a failed run, and never on first launch.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects the following, as described in Google's data disclosure:

Google processes this data as an independent controller under its own Privacy Policy and Advertising terms. Echolume does not receive, store, or have access to this data, and never combines it with anything else.

Your Choices

In-App Purchase

Echolume offers a single non-consumable purchase, Remove Ads. The transaction is handled entirely by Apple or Google. Echolume never sees your payment details, and stores only a local flag recording that you bought it.

Optional Game Center / Google Play Games

If you choose to sign in to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, Echolume submits your Abyss depth to a leaderboard and unlocks achievements through that service. This is processed by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies; Echolume receives nothing back and stores nothing about your platform account. Declining changes nothing except that milestones stay on your device only.

Data Stored on Your Device

Your progress (depths cleared, stars, banked light, best Abyss depth) and your settings (sound, music, haptics, accessibility toggles, whether you removed ads) are saved locally. This never leaves your device. Deleting the app deletes it, and you can erase it any time via Settings → Reset progress.

Children's Privacy

Echolume is suitable for all ages, and Echolume itself collects nothing from anyone. Because the game does serve advertising, we do not direct it at children under 13, and it is not listed in a children's category on either store. If you believe a child has been served personalised advertising through this app, contact us at the address below and we will help you reset the identifier.

Permissions

Echolume requests no sensitive permissions. It does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files. On iOS it asks once for tracking permission, which you are free to decline.

Changes to This Policy

If a future update changes what the app does with data, this policy will be updated and the change described in the release notes before it takes effect.
